Workers' Compensation Program

FIT employees are covered under the New York State Workers' Compensation law. This program provides payment for all necessary and reasonable medical care expenses related to your on-the-job injury or occupational disease. This program also provides reimbursement for lost wages at rates set by the New York State Department of Labor.

Please review the official policy, which resides in the College Policy Library: HR001, Workers' Compensation

When an Injury or Illness Occurs

Immediately report any accident or injury to FIT Security at (212) 2177-7777 and seek first aid or other necessary medical attention.  Security will notify Human Resources immediately and the employee can expect to hear from a member of the HR Team shortly thereafter. If you are injured at work, click here for additional information and complete the Employee Injury/Illness Report form

PMA Care 24
