Noncredit Certificates
Noncredit certificates are open to adults 18 years of age and up and are designed with working professionals in mind. Not every certificate is offered every semester.
Registration
There is no application or admissions process for noncredit certificates. Simply register through our web registration system.
Payment Options
Payment is due with registration. If you would like to schedule a payment plan with us, please email [email protected]. Note that all payments are due before your first class.
FIT Alumni Discount
This discount is only available for noncredit certificates and can not be applied retroactively. If you think you are eligible for the 10% Alumni Discount,
please complete the Alumni Verification Form prior to registration in order to receive your discount code. Discounts will not
be applied to your account after registration has occurred.
Certificates in Partnership with Yellowbrick are not eligible for tuition exemption
or an alumni discount.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is not available for noncredit certificates. The federal government requires that a student be in their first degree granting program to receive financial aid. Noncredit coursework is not eligible for any type of financial aid and payment is due in full at the time of registration.
Digital Certificate Badge
Noncredit certificates do not carry college credits; they cannot be transferred to another college or counted towards a degree program at FIT. You will receive a digital certificate badge upon completion.
Successfully Complete the Course
Please note that different certificates have different attendance requirements based on the length of the particular program. Students must attend the required number of classes and satisfactorily complete all assignments and projects in order to receive a passing grade. All noncredit certificates are graded on a pass/WD basis and only certificates completed with a passing grade can be counted towards completion of a chosen program.
Issuing Badges
If you successfully complete the certificate, you will receive your noncredit digital certificate badge via email after grades are processed.
