When should I apply for FIT in Italy?

Students planning to study for the entire academic year in Italy must begin the program in the fall semester and must apply during the academic year preceding their study in Italy. Semester only students need to apply a year in advance as well.

Will I need an Italian Study visa?

Yes, after you have been accepted for FIT in Italy you will need to obtain an Italian Study visa. The Italian government sets the requirements and determines each student's eligibility for a visa on an individual basis.

Is there a language prerequisite?

You must have studied one semester of Italian before beginning the FIT in Italy program.

Is there financial aid available for study abroad?

Financial aid may be available to students that participate in academic year and semester abroad programs. The Financial Aid Office reviews requests for financial aid on a case-by-case basis.
