Whether you’re starting a side-hustle, launching a business, navigating freelancer life, or creating the career of your dreams, these sessions will help guide you on the path towards growing successfully.

This will be a workshop and a semi-private session series (with real-time group work) meant to educate, as well as generate collaboration and discussion. It will provide an opportunity for thoughtful discussion, and relevant (implementable) takeaways for each student through a synchronous, collaborative, and experiential lens. 

Synchronous: Real-time remote lectures, demonstrations, and discussions for instant feedback and dynamic exchange of ideas.

Collaborative: Adaptation of industry-standard tools that enable real-time online collaboration and teamwork.

Experiential: Hands-on experiential and project-based learning in which students actively explore real-world problems and challenges and acquire a deeper understanding of the subject.

Technology Requirements

Dalia Strum

Dalia Strum
Facilitator and Instructor, CCPS, FIT; Founder, RethinkConnect; Podcast Co-host, Motivated; Consultant; Educator

Dalia is a Marketer & Innovator who embraces non-traditional education while working with companies and entrepreneurs to focus on creativity and external innovation.

She is a globally recognized expert on the business of fashion and retail with a focus on communication, building community, and content creation. Her expertise spans over 15 years within the Fashion, Tech, Retail, and Luxury industries. She has pioneered the integration of new strategies, including applying resources and technology towards marketing practices.

Dalia has spent the majority of her career consulting with a number of luxury brands including Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, and Burberry. She most recently launched RethinkConnect, an agency that powers and supports innovation and professional learning initiatives. Most recently they partnered with the Wharton Business School and Ralph Lauren to host an Ideathon focused on Rethinking Retail. Daymond John from Shark Tank joined them as the featured Keynote speaker. Prior to the Ideathon, RethinkConnect’s recent Experiential Marketing Symposium featured the co-owner of the Miami Marlins, the Ritz Carlton Educational Center, and was featured in Forbes highlighting how Shareable Moments On Social Drive Sales.

Dalia’s podcast, Motivated, along with co-host Pablo Henderson, VP of Marketing for Equinox hotels, features thought leaders and industry experts who discuss shifting mindsets and how to keep themselves as well as others motivated. She has hosted guests from Facebook, Instagram, VaynerMedia, WeWork, W Hotels, etc.

She also focuses on speaking engagements and workshops with the senior management of luxury brands around the globe.

Dalia not only teaches at FIT, she is also an alumna who is ingrained in its community. She also has taught at NYU, Baruch College, College of Westchester, and Westchester Community College.

Center for Continuing and Professional Studies (CCPS)

FIT's CCPS offers credit and noncredit courses in fashion, business, design, computer technology, and marketing, as well as a range of certificate programs to help you enter and advance in the fashion and related industries.
