Strategic Planning: 1999-2004

At the outset of her presidency, Dr. Joyce F. Brown engaged the FIT community in a strategic planning process facilitated by McKinsey & Company in order to identify broad issues critical to the colleges growth and vitality. The planning effort, Vision to Reality, focused on many of FIT's basic needs, including faculty and curriculum development, technology, organizational identity, student services, facilities, and community and industry outreach.

Supporting this effort was the development of the colleges first multi-year investment plan, which integrated financial and operational imperatives with institutional vision. The plan provided $21.3 million in support of strategic priorities.
