Medical Expenses

All necessary and reasonable medical expenses related to your injury are covered by workers' comp. For example:

• doctor visits
• hospital stays
• surgery
• x-rays

Except in emergencies, all specialists, consultants, x-rays, diagnostic testing, physical or occupational therapy, and surgery must be authorized by Lodestar Claims & Risk Services (Lodestar) if the total exceeds $500.

Prescriptions: Cadence Rx

Lodestar is partnered with Cadence Rx, a nationwide leader in workers' compensation pharmacy benefits management. With 20 years of expertise in workers' compensation, Cadence Rx has significant resources to meet the needs of injured workers.

Workers who become injured will receive a Cadence Rx First Fill Card from Lodestar.

Wage Reimbursement

Permanent Injury

In the case of a serious and permanent injury, you may be entitled to receive permanent disability benefits. If you have any questions regarding eligibility, you should call the Lodestar Customer Service Center at (866) 886-6305.
