Remote Online Placement Exams
Before Scheduling Your Exam
Before making an appointment for a remote online placement exam, you must have your FIT ID number and your FIT email address. BOTH MUST BE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT when you complete the registration form.
Note: All FIT ID numbers begin with the @ symbol. If you enter this data wrong in any way on the registration form, you will not receive your placement test results.
What to Expect
After registering for your exam, you will receive an email within three business days
from Accuplacer, the testing company. Accuplacer will provide you with a voucher number
and further instructions on how to take your
exam with an online proctor known as Examity.
After you have received the email from Accuplacer, you must go to the Examity website. You will provide your voucher number and set up a testing time there. Examity will record your testing session; therefore, the computer you use for testing must be equipped with a web cam and a microphone. You must also allow pop-ups for the Examity site in order to test. Please review this browser setting before you attempt to take your exam online.

Note to students with disabilities: If you are seeking accommodations for the exam, do not register using this form. Please contact Disability Support Services (FIT-ABLE) at [email protected] to make arrangements to take the test.
Getting Your Results
When you have completed your placement exam online, your results will automatically
be sent to FIT
from Accuplacer. You can retrieve your results in MyFIT one week after successfully completing your exam.
Log in to MyFIT, choose the Student tab, then Online Information System then Placement Tests Scheduling and Results then Placement Test Results
If you are unable to take a placement exam remotely online, you may take one in-person on campus by scheduling a placement exam at the FIT Testing Center.
