F-1 Regulations

Mandatory for all international students in the Fall 2026 semester to learn about the new F-1 regulations that eliminate Duration of Status and place limits on academic mobility. These regulations go into effect on September 15, 2026. Please come to an early session, especially if you have travel plans after September 15.

Work in the United States

For F-1 students who are interested in learning more about all F-1 employment benefits, with particular emphasis on Curricular Practical Training (credit-bearing internships).

Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Mandatory for F-1 students completing studies in December or the Winter Session who wish to apply for post-completion Optional Practical Training (OPT). Due to the lengthy authorization process, students are strongly encouraged to attend an early session. The International Student Advisor will only endorse the applications of students who attend one of these sessions. Please note you must be physically present in the U.S. to apply for OPT.
