6th floor - MakerMinds, Materials Resource Lab, computers, printers & open study spaces
Monday - Thursday: 8am - 12am (midnight)
Friday: 8am - 10pm
Saturday: 11am - 10pm
Sunday: 12pm (noon) - 10pm
FIT Library Hub
Visit us on the 5th floor, Student Commons of the Joyce F. Brown Academic Building, where we can help find your way around library resources, work through research challenges, and get support with anything that might come up during your studies. Check out our list of events at the Library Hub.
Hours: The Hub will reopen on Monday, August 31, with hours from 12pm–2pm, Monday–Friday. We plan to expand the hours to 12pm–4pm, Monday–Friday, at a later date during the Fall semester. Stay tuned!

Changes in Hours and Library Closures
The Library will be closed and/or have shortened hours on the following days:
- Fall hours begin on Monday, August 24
- Closed Monday, September 7 for Labor Day
- Close at 5pm Friday, September 11, in observance of Rosh Hashanah (4th and 5th floors only)
- 6th floor open 8am - 10pm
- Closed Sunday, September 13, in observance of Rosh Hashanah (4th and 5th floors only)
- 6th floor open 12pm - 10pm
- Close at 5pm, Sunday, September 20, in observance of Yom Kippur (4th and 5th floors only)
- 6th floor open 12pm - 10pm
- Closed Monday, September 21, in observance of Yom Kippur (4th and 5th floors only)
- 6th floor open 8am - 10pm
- Closed Thursday, November 26 - Sunday, November 29 (4th and 5th floors only)
- The 6th floor will open on Saturday, November 28, from 11am - 10pm and on Sunday, November 29, from 12pm (noon) to 10pm
- Close at 5pm, Wednesday, December 23 (all floors)
- All floors closed from Thursday, December 24 - Sunday, January 3, 2027
- Winter Hours Begin, Monday, January 4, 2027.

Pick-Up Hours for Requested Material
Browsing in the stacks is available and encouraged. Alternatively, patrons can request FIT books and DVDs through OneSearch for pickup. Step-by-step instructions and additional information can be found on our Borrowing Materials page. Items for pickup are located in a beige cabinet in the Main Reading Room by the Library Services Desk. Make sure to check out these materials before you leave, either at the self-checkout stations or at the Library Services Desk. Please do not come to the library until you receive a "ready for pick up" confirmation email. Pick-up hours are anytime the 5th floor is open.
