FIT Grants
FIT grants are offered through several divisions of the college.
Both the Sustainability Council and the Diversity Collective were established by President Joyce F. Brown to develop and foster sustainability and diversity initiatives throughout the FIT community. The co-chairs of each council administer the funds under the auspices of the Office of the President.
Diversity Grants
Encourages the development of educational projects, scholarly research, creative endeavors and professional activities that promote the goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion. All grantseekers must have attended a Diversity Collective grants workshop to be eligible to apply for funding.

Diversity Collective Event Grants
The Diversity Collective celebrates events and presentations that showcase the creativity and rich diversity of experience at FIT through the lens of the arts, careers, curriculum, social media, technology, and other fields. Presenters/requesters will be notified by date TBA if the proposal has been accepted and amount funded.

Sustainability Grants
Supports creative and innovative initiatives that help to infuse various aspects of
sustainability into our college culture, curricula, operations, and physical environment.
Award Amount: $5,000 max

Collaboration Grants (formerly Innovation Grants)
Provides students with the opportunity and support for collaboration on projects that
cross academic disciplines and stretch intellectual and artistic boundaries.
Award Amount: $1,000 - $3,000

Connecting Our Community Grants
Provides students, faculty, and staff funds to enhance the FIT experience by promoting
greater academic and intellectual engagement for students. Each event should attempt
to build an inclusive community in which participants engage with, learn from, and
inspire each other. Events must be sponsored by a faculty or staff member who will
submit the application and be the point person for funding.
Award Amount: $500 max
Deadline: At least 2 weeks prior to event (2022 dates TBA)

Faculty Development Grants
Dedicated to the development of faculty in their creative inquiry and growth as educators,
scholars, artists, designers, business innovators, and industry-related professionals.
Award Amount: $1,000 max (for domestic research/activity) and $1,500 max (for international research/activity)

Student-Faculty Corporation Grants
Funds projects meant to improve college life for students and faculty of FIT, and
to assist students and faculty in their work, studies, and extracurricular activities.
