Noncredit Refund Procedures

Requests must be received 24 business hours prior to start of program for a full refund.
Requests received after a course's completion cannot be fulfilled.

Request a refund in the CCPS Registration System:

  • Log in to your student account
  • Select  Login > Student Login
  • Login using your CCPS Registration System credentials (they are not the same as your FIT credentials). If you forgot your login information please use the username / password reset tools.
  • Select My Courses
  • Select DROP on the course you would like to drop

Your refund request will be processed as quickly as possible.

Official withdrawal is accomplished by requesting a refund for the specific course you wish to drop or submitting your intent to withdraw in writing. Not attending class or stopping payment on a check or credit card is not considered official withdrawal. In either of those cases, you will be responsible for paying your tuition and fees.

To join us on campus for in-person courses, all Noncredit Adult and Precollege students are required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Failure to produce this confirmation of submission of vaccination proof will result in my inability to participate in the course. Refunds will not be issued or adjusted as a result of failing to show confirmation of submission at the door.

Guest Speaker changes are not accepted as a reason for refund requests.

FIT is not responsible for hotel, travel, or other costs incurred by program participants as a result of a course cancellation, including force majeure events including but not limited to widespread illness, public health conditions, act of government, and pandemic events such as, but not limited to, the coronavirus.

Please note that the $10 registration fee is a transaction fee and is nonrefundable for any withdrawal, except in the event of an FIT cancellation.

High School and Middle School students and parents should refer to the Precollege Programs Refund Procedures.

Course Session Make-Up Policy

In the event that an individual class session must be rescheduled due to any unforeseen instructor issue, students will receive an email notification from the instructor and/or CCPS Office regarding the class situation. Students will then receive an email from the FIT CCPS Office on the next business day with the details for the scheduled make-up class (typically held on the same night, on a consecutive week). Students may also email [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
