If you are interested in the intersection between innovation and fashion, this program may be the perfect fit. Our students regularly contribute to the research and development of materials and construction techniques that could be used to create the products of the future.
The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) curriculum focuses on developing your drawing and patternmaking skills and accessories design and production techniques. You’ll also learn the business of accessories design.
Many students go on to the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program in Footwear and Accessories Design for advanced technical training and in-depth study in such specialized areas as sports-specific accessories and theatrical footwear. The curriculum includes a required internship and a senior project that concentrates on research, design and production, and oral presentation skills.
