New Student Advisement

Welcome to FIT!

The Academic Advisement Center is looking forward to getting to know you and having the opportunity to work with you during your academic career.

In-person, virtual or telephone appointments with academic advisors can be made using our online appointment system after you receive your FIT username and password. 

Appointments are made using Eastern time, so please be mindful of any time difference when scheduling your appointment.

Find Your Degree Audit

Degree Works (DW) is the document used during your advisement session to review your transfer credits and degree curriculum requirements. This page will teach you how to retrieve this document using the MyFIT portal.  Please send a copy of your audit before meeting with your advisor. See: Registar-Degree Audits

Academic Minors

Students at FIT have the opportunity to pursue an academic minor, a selection of courses focused on a particular discipline or a combination of disciplines. This provides a more cohesive program of study and a deeper understanding of the chosen fields. See: Academic Minors
