The Center

Dubinsky Student Center, Room A739
(212) 217-4151

The Center is a multi-purpose art studio. Students may borrow tools to use in the studio for drawing, beading, painting, collage, sewing, and much more.

Each semester, the Student Association sponsors drawing sessions, cooking, arts and crafts demonstrations and lectures in the Center. In addition, there is an artist video series and programs in nutrition, exercise and health, as well as in political, environmental, and social issues.

Non-credit workshops are scheduled each semester for those students interested in short-term ongoing instruction. There are both afternoon and evening open studio sessions for those students who like to work independently, or to work on class assignments.

Due to limited space, students are asked to register in advance. To work independently in a studio, call (212) 217-4151. Anyone using these facilities must show a valid FIT ID card.

Students and faculty interested in presenting a lecture program or workshop should contact the Department of Student Life inA713 or call (212) 217-4130. Current programs and schedules are posted on the bulletin boards and on the department webpage.

For further information about available hours or use of studios and equipment, contact the Center Technician in room A739 or by calling 212217.4151.
