Pomerantz Center
Work is now complete on an expansion of the lobby in the Pomerantz Art and Design
Center.
The project more than doubled the interior exhibition space to almost 4,000 square feet. A smaller, closed-off gallery was created out of former offices off the lobby.
The new lobby extends to the 27th Street subway station, and the façade is entirely sheathed in glass, offering even more opportunity for passersby to admire the work on display. A new entrance is located on Seventh Avenue.
The Pomerantz Center renovation is one of 60 projects to emerge from FIT's revised facilities master plan.
