CTD 110 Illustrator II: Fashion Design
Prerequisite: CTD 100

CTD 111 Illustrator II: Graphic Design
Prerequisite: CTD 100
Expands upon and develops the skills learned in Illustrator I. Create dynamic graphics

and masks. Explore the transparency palette, live effects, and the appearance palette.

CTD 112 Illustrator II: Textiles and Product Development
Prerequisite: CTD 100

CTD 120 Illustrator III: Fashion Design

CTD 121 Illustrator III: Graphic Design
Prerequisite: CTD 111
Program features covered in this class include: live trace and live paint, recoloring
art to change color; creating custom graphics; working with vectors and pixels; converting
raster images to vector using the appearance panel and live effects together; creating
editing, and experimenting with color groups; working with opacity masks; and using

CTD 131 Creating Complete Tech Packs in Illustrator
Prerequisite: CTD 100
This course demonstrates how to make sample tech packs that effectively communicate
with sample makers and factories to assure accuracy in the sample-making process.

efficiently convey all the information needed to make a sample. Save time and money

Prerequisite: Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator required

Use your own project to brush up your skills and implement the commands learned in AutoCAD

CTD 371 SketchUp Pro for Interior Design and Virtual Reality
Create 3D models using Photoshop and SketchUp Pro—a valuable skill for many industries
and home use. Learn the modeling interfaces and develop modeling skills. Learn how
to import 3D objects between software and discover the shortcuts that can speed up
production. Print your model by linking directly to top online 3D printing companies,
using your home 3D printer or the 3D printer at FIT's Fab Lab.

CTD 381 Revit I
Revit is used for 2D and 3D building information modeling. In this course, you will
be taken step by step through the process of drawing a building, learning each Revit
tool as needed. The course will cover building elements such as walls, columns, floors,
ceilings, doors, windows, and stairs. You will also learn dimensioning, annotation
tools and page setup. Course is PC based. It is recommended to have a flash drive available to save your work.
CTD 382 Revit II
Prerequisite: CTD 381
Building on the basics of Revit I, we will look at ceiling transitions, stair details
and extensions, and sloping roofs and floors. Detail callouts and 2D elements including
symbols, tags, schedules, and legends, will be covered. Materials and entourage will
be assigned for camera views and renderings. Course is PC based.
CTD 429 Introduction to Rhino for the CAD Novice
Rhinoceros is the foremost application used in jewelry design and other industries
for the creation of three-dimensional models for prototyping, mechanical drawings,
and layouts. This course is designed for students new to computer-aided design to
prepare them for Rhino I. Course is PC based.
CTD 430 Rhino I
Prerequisite: CTD 429 or equivalent experience
This first course in the Rhino series will cover two-dimensional digital drawing and
drafting. Class exercises include jewelry-related material. You must complete required
homework in order to pass. Course is PC based.
CTD 431 Rhino II
Prerequisite: CTD 430
This course will build on Rhino modeling fundamentals, with students progressing
on to three-dimensional surface and solid modeling. Class exercises will include jewelry-related
material. Course is PC based. Bring a flash drive to class to save your work.
CTD 432 Rhino III
Prerequisite: CTD 431
This course continues the focus on the creation of three-dimensional surfaces and
solids from CTD 431. Students learn how to create, manipulate, and edit three-dimensional
objects for the making of models. Course exercises include jewelry-related material. Course is PC based. Bring a flash drive to class to save your work.
CTD 433 Rhino IV
Prerequisite: CTD 432
Continue the study of 3D modeling. Exercises will cover the workflow of making pavé
and azures, as well as making a hinge for a bracelet. Learn techniques needed to be
a CAD modeler in the jewelry industry. Course is PC based.
CTD 436 Introduction to ZBrush
Learn the basics of digital sculpting in 3D with ZBrush. We will go over the user interface
and the basic commands, and by the end of the course you will have enough knowledge
of the software to begin sculpting your own designs.
CTD 437 ZBrush for Jewelry Design
Prerequisite: CTD 436
Learn to produce jewelry with the addition of complex sculptural aesthetics. You will
be able to transition between Rhino and ZBrush using a basic pipeline. By the end,
you will be able to add high-resolution sculpted details to your models.
CTD 438 ZBrush for Shoe and Handbag Design
Prerequisite: CTD 436
Bring your fashion designs to reality by modeling them directly in ZBrush. Sculpt
your models and add details to mimic real life materials.
CTD 520 InDesign
Prerequisite: Mac experience required or take CTB 002
This course introduces you to the InDesign publishing interface, including the tools
and palettes, and explains how to create and navigate a document, work with text and
objects, use pen tools, add color, import and manipulate graphics, and manage long
documents and styles. It is recommended to have a flash drive available to save your work.

CTD 525 Interactive Design for Mobile Platforms
Learn how to effectively create content for e-publishing platforms (iPad, iTunes,
Amazon Kindle). Utilizing the tools of the Adobe Creative Suite, you'll learn to size
and create interactive content for the new media. This is a great course for anyone
looking to independently publish or find employment in this new publishing area. A

CTD 706 55A Animation Design with Adobe Animate
This workshop will introduce you to the basics of animation for web, video, and tablets.
Create interactive content limited only by your imagination. With Animate, Adobe has
