Christian has spent over 20 years helping companies identify and profit from change.  As the global foresight practice lead he concentrates on connecting foresight to strategy and innovation decisions across a range of industries using scenario planning, ideation techniques and design thinking. Prior to joining Kalypso, Christian was the founder and principal of AndSpace Consulting, a boutique foresight, innovation, strategy and design consultancy serving Fortune 500 clients and large non-profit agencies.  Before his consulting experience, he held internal foresight (trends, forecasts, and scenarios) and strategy positions at Pitney Bowes, the Waitt Institute and Toshiba Industrial Corporation. Christian serves as the global foresight practice lead for Kalypso, helping clients use the future to deliver on the promise of innovation.  He works with clients to link foresight projects to actionable future realities, innovation strategy and technology implementation, translating insights about future markets and customers into decision-making and action.

Kelly Kornet

Kelly works with clients to unlock breakthrough innovation by inspiring creativity and curiosity throughout the innovation process. Prior to Kalypso, Kelly spent three years as a researcher with a focus on foresight (trends, forecasts, and scenarios) design thinking and facilitation.  She worked at a multidisciplinary innovation studio in Toronto and gained experience in the public and private sector with clients including Munich Re, Diamler AG, Kingspan, the Ministry of Transportation Ontario, TD Bank, Creative Many Michigan and Metrolinx. Kelly has a master's degree in Strategic Foresight and Innovation from Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) University and is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists and the World Futures Studies Federation. Kelly supports the Strategy & Operations practice, using strategic foresight methods to drive breakthrough innovation for clients.  As part of the foresight team, she provides research, analysis and facilitation for clients in the process manufacturing industry.

Steve Riordan

Steve has dedicated his entire 30-year career to serving retailers and their suppliers, first as a retail executive and more recently as a partner and practice leader for several prominent consulting firms. Prior to joining Kalypso, Steve served as the global managing director for business analytics and advisory services for PRGX, where he built a business serving prominent retailers and consumer goods clients in fact-based analytics, merchandising, sourcing and procurement.  Earlier in his career, Steve served as a partner and retail/consumer goods industry practice leader for both A.T. Kearney and Deloitte Consulting. Prior to his career in consulting, Steve held merchandising positions with Federated Department Stores (Sanger Harris division) and Pier 1 Imports. As a consultant, Steve has served clients across the entire range of retail industry sectors—from grocery, consumer electronics, apparel and footwear, to food and beverage, wholesale distribution, and private equity firms. Steve received an MBA in Finance and a BS in Marketing and Advertising from Indiana University. Steve serves as the Retail, Footwear and Apparel practice lead for Kalypso. He joined Kalypso to help the firm scale up its capabilities to serve a broad range of traditional and non-traditional retailers, building on the firm’s portfolio of experiences and capabilities across numerous industries.

Laura is a manager in the Foresight practice at Kalypso. She has 10 years of consulting experience in actuarial, human capital and foresight services.  Prior to Kalypso, Laura worked at Ernst & Young LLP (EY) in their People Advisory Services group.  She began her career at EY as an actuarial consultant, performing annual actuarial valuation services for defined benefit and health and welfare plans based on economic and demographic assumptions and the resulting 100+ year actuarial forecasts. Later, Laura focused on various human capital consulting projects in areas such as HR transformation, development of people strategy and forecasts, alignment of HR strategy and business strategy, service delivery strategy and implementation, HR organization design, business process design, HR technology implementation and HR outsourcing, workforce planning, and labor forecasting. Laura is a manager in the Foresight practice for Kalypso where she converts foresight (trends, forecasts, and scenarios) into strategic opportunities.  By identifying and quantifying societal, technological, environmental, economic and political tendencies she works with her clients to drive priorities, investment and innovation.
