Ammar Belal’s multicultural articulation of design is a realization of his upbringing in Boston, Geneva, and Lahore, Pakistan. In 2002, he launched a bespoke denim label, which deciphered traditional couture techniques into streetwear. Within five years, he had evolved into Pakistan’s first luxury menswear label with five flagship stores. By 2012, he had won national design awards for Best Emerging Talent, Best Original Song (MTV Pakistan), and Best Menswear.

Belal continues to design for his eponymous custom menswear label in New York and has recently launched ONE432, a no left-no right shoe with an unprecedented standard of equality, transparency, and responsibility. His trans-disciplinary narrative as a faculty member and entrepreneur is part of an evolving vision to explore the harmony between fashion systems, critical awareness, and social impact.

Belal learned a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Clark University.
