Pre-Orientation Prep

Tuesday, January 24th 

  • 10 am-4:30 pm: ID Pick Up
    • Whether you submitted your ID photo online or still need a photo stop by Campus Safety located at 236 West 27th Street to pick up your ID.
  • 12-4:30pm: New Resident Student Early Orientation Check-in, Room A-713, 7th floor, Dubinsky Student Center
    • Beat the rush tomorrow and check-in for Orientation early! Stop by the Department of Student Life to check-in, learn your group number, get your free FIT Orientation swag, and ask any pre-orientation questions you might have! 

  • 12-1 pm: Tech 101, via Live WebEx
    • Looking for the password for the WiFi? Hear from representatives in Information Technology at FIT Covering everything related to your college email, innovation in the classroom, and all the steps FIT takes to keep your personal information safe and secure on our global network.
  • 1, 2, & 3 pm: Campus Tour, Depart from Dubinsky Student Center Lobby
    • FIT Tour Guides will lead you around campus, pointing out your classrooms, campus resources, places to study, etc. Be sure to bring your class schedule. *Tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • 2-3 pm: Financing Your Education, via via Live WebEx
    • Learn more about the resources available to you at FIT to help you manage your finances both now and into the future. Whether it’s tuition, fees, student loans, or just managing and maintaining you personal budget, Financial Aid Services is here to help! Meet representatives from the department who will provide support and guidance. 

  • 3-3:30pm: Navigate FITLink, via Live WebEx
    • Join Student Life Program Coordinators Denise Delgado-Pesante and Jordan Pappas and learn how to navigate FITLink, our online student engagement platform. Here is where you can view the 60+ clubs and organizations, RSVP to events, and check-in to activities, like Orientation, via the CORQ app! 
  • 3:30-4pm: Dining Services, via Live WebEx
    • Whether you are living in campus housing or commuting to campus there is a meal plan for you! Join representatives from Aramark, FIT’s Dining Services, Jessica Pope and Marea Mastrantonakis, to learn more about the dining experience on campus and what plans are available to you! 

  • 6:30pm: Families in Transition, via Live WebEx
    • Parents and Families, we welcome you to join us virtually to learn more about the resources and tools offered at FIT to help support your student’s success. This session will be hosted by Acting Vice President for Enrollment Management & Student Success, Dr. Tardis Johnson and Associate Dean of Students, Dr. Corie A. McCallum.

  • 7pm: Residence Hall Welcome, in your assigned residence hall
    • Resident Assistants (RAs) will be meeting with all new residents to formally introduce themselves and review important residence hall information.
