Arduino is an essential prototyping tool for designers who want to create unique onsite experiences that interact with audiences, surrounding environments, and data streams. FIT’s 8-week Arduino Programming for Designers Certificate Program will give you the practical knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare you for the the exciting field of Experiential Design, which is one of the fastest growing sectors in today’s creative economy.

Our program is tailored for creative professionals such as graphic designers and web designers who are looking to advance their career in the field of experience design. To enroll in this program, basic understanding of coding such as HTML and JavaScript is highly recommended. You are also required to bring a laptop to the class.

Meet Our Faculty 

Rob Kahn

Carmine Guida
Carmine is an instructor, programmer and musician who has worked in executive roles at several tech startups. As a Game Developer, Carmine has published games in various app stores and on Steam. Carmine's puzzle game "A.L.E.X." is a learning tool in after-school coding programs in the U.S. and abroad. After a successful kickstarter, Carmine launched a multi-player, multi-platform game called Quintet which is has been used in a psychology experiment in cooperation as well as for team building exercises in large corporations. As an instructor, Carmine has taught various Game Design courses and intensives as well as countless music workshops. Carmine's current research/thesis project is a plagiarism detection and intervention system using natural language processing and stylometry. As a musician, Carmine plays Middle Eastern music and you can find songs of his in TV shows by Anthony Bourdain, Michael J. Fox and Christiane Amanpour.
