Guidance on Reporting Misconduct to FIT

FIT makes every effort to resolve complaints internally, using policies and procedures outlined in the online College Policy Library. FIT expects that employees will fully utilize any and all of such administrative procedures to address concerns and/or complaints in as timely a manner as possible. 

Policy Guidance

The below information is intended to help you understand to whom, where, and how, to report suspected policy violations or misconduct based on each respected policy.  It also provides a pathway to policies relevant to various types of misconduct which could guide your understanding and recognition of whether a violation has taken place. 
  • Academic Grade Appeal: refer to the Grading policy.
  • Academic Integrity Violations: refer to the Academic Honor Code policy.
  • Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): refer to the FERPA policy.
  • Other-Academic Complaints: refers to incidents of unprofessional behavior and other complaints that are not of an academic grade or integrity concern. Contact the department chair or academic dean for assistance.
