First up this semester is the historical drama First They Killed My Father, a Cambodian-American production directed by Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie. Set in the 1970s, the invasion of the Khmer Rouge separates a middle-class Cambodian girl from her family, as all struggle to endure work camps and Communist indoctrination.
