Combating Harassment & Discrimination
In September 2025 Deliwe Kekana was appointed as FIT's Title VI coordinator, in addition to serving as Chief Diversity Officer and the college's designated Title IX coordinator.
As the Title VI coordinator, Kekana is responsible for investigating complaints involving alleged discrimination based on protected status. She manages and provides guidance for a wide range of the college's civil rights, compliance, and initiatives. The work from her office reinforces FIT’s commitment to protecting access to education and employment opportunities while also preventing and responding to harassment and discrimination.
Required Training
As part of FIT's commitment, all employees are required to complete training and workshops to promote equal access and participation. Training will be delivered annually for students.
