FIT Residential Life: Summer Housing Programs

Welcome to The Fashion Institute of Technology. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive living environment that fosters academic success and community engagement. We offer specialized housing options designed to meet the unique needs of our English as a Second Language (ESL) participants and Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students.

ESL Housing Program (English as a Second Language)

Our ESL housing creates an immersive and supportive community for international students and non-native English speakers. Located in the heart of midtown, Alumni Hall, encourages language practice, cross-cultural exchange, and collaboration with fellow language learners. Rooms are designed for comfort and convenience, offering a safe space to adjust to life in New York City!

  • Amenities: Fully furnished, [e.g., internet, shared kitchenettes in the apartments, laundry facilities, etc.]
  • Support: 24/7 Public Safety on Campus and in each Hall. Residential Advisor (RA) and professional staff support during nights and weekends.

ESL Housing Dates:

  • Application: Opens on Wednesday, February 18th 9:00 AM and Closes on Monday, May 18th 5:00 PM EST.
  • Stay: Monday, June 29th 9:00 AM and it ends on Wednesday, July 22nd 3:00 PM EST. Additional nights are subject to availability and confirmation.

ESL Room Types & Rates:

  • Alumni Hall Double Bedroom in 4 Person shared Apartment: $1,725 USD per resident
  • Alumni Hall Single Bedroom in 2 Person Shared Apartment: $2,300 USD per resident

How to Apply?

Please email your ESL CCPS Coordinator at [email protected] or directly if you are already in contact with someone on their team. They will provide access to the application link when welcoming you officially to the program!

Visitation: Please note there will be no visitation during summer term.

EOP Housing Program (Educational Opportunity Program)

The EOP housing program provides a dedicated, supportive environment for students in the Educational Opportunity Program. Our goal is to ensure that EOP students have access to the resources and stability needed to thrive academically and personally. EOP residents live together, fostering a strong sense of community.

Please contact your EOP coordinator at [email protected]. They will collect application information and work with the Housing team internally.
