Accommodations
Students requesting housing accommodations must still follow the Residential Life application process to request campus housing. You should submit a housing request at least a month in advance if not earlier if you want your accommodation considered during selection. To begin the process, complete the FIT-ABLE Accessibility Request Form.
Application Fee & Rates
Housing rates are voted and approved each year by the board of Trustees in late April. Within a few days following the vote, rates are posted on Rates & Fees. In addition to a housing charge, in 2026 Residential Students are also responsible for
- A one-time fee of $100 which is for enrollment into the mandatory personal property insurance.
- A Residential Technology Fee of $235 per semester for residential software support, and infrastructure maintenance.
- A Residence Association Fee of $35 which goes to programmatic efforts
- A meal plan pending the student's room type and location
- All fees and charges except for property insurance are per semester.
Beginning in 2026[1] Residential Life will implement a $250 Housing Application Fee that will take the place of the Housing Deposit.
This is a non-refundable once per year fee that must be paid to access any of the Housing Applications, including Academic Year, Winter, and Summer Housing. Once paid, students will be able to access all applications until the process resets next year.
This application fee must be paid in full via credit card using either American Express, MasterCard, Visa, or Discover.
Since the fee grants access to applications, a student’s current or future housing
status does not enable them for a refund and payment of the fee does not guarantee
housing.
[1] The application fee must be voted and approved by the Board of Trustees before
taking effect
All residents must have a meal plan. Meal plan requirements vary per room type just like housing charges, are voted upon by the Board of Trustees in April. Pricing and exact offerings are found on our Dining Hub.

Selection Process
When the application opens on May 27 there are a few steps you will need to complete. We will walk you through them below.
- Log into your myFIT. About 48 hours after you pay your admission’s deposit a Housing Card will now be available with a link to your Housing Portal.
- Once you have accessed your Housing Portal, in the teal navigation bar you can click on Applications.
- On the drop-down menu, select 2026-2027.
- First, you will need to input some information. This includes personal information, emergency contact, a photo of yourself, and then you will sign a few agreements including an ESA agreement and Housing Agreement.
- You should read through the Housing Agreement carefully before signing it and agreeing to it. This is a legal document and while it’s not a lease it is similarly binding.
- Once you sign the Housing Agreement you will get a confirmation email that you have submitted your application. You can then go in and find a roommate if you want
