Licensing and Reproduction

Digitization Rights and Reproductions Requests

Special Collections and College Archives can digitize and deliver high-resolution digital content from our collection for use in editorial, commercial, and other publications.

Please allow at least four weeks to process your request. Files are delivered via Google Drive only after we have received payment and a signed agreement, so please factor in time for transactions to be completed. We can only accept payment via check or wire transfer.

To make a reproduction or licensing request, please send an email to [email protected] with information about what you need, and someone will reach out to you shortly.

Copyright

The FIT Library’s Department of Special Collections and FIT Archive does not own copyright for all material held in its physical custody. It is the media user's obligation to abide by copyright law when copying or using materials found in or made available from the FIT Library’s collections. When possible, SPARC will inform a researcher about the copyright status of material and the researcher's obligations regarding such material.

For any reproductions of material that we cannot license, we require proof of rights clearance from rights owners.

Fee Schedule

Our fee schedule provides a baseline of flat fees that we charge for licensing and reproduction. Photography of oversize and/or fragile objects may require additional processing time and costs. Reproduction and licensing related to exhibition loans of SPARC materials will be discussed separately.
