The form to request tickets for the 2026 Commencement and Hooding Ceremony is now open!

Here's what you need to know:

• You must complete the ticket form below to attend your ceremony—whether you're bringing guests or not! Don't miss out on securing your spot.
• Each graduate can request up to four (4) guest tickets.
• Graduates must use their FIT email address to complete the ticket form. Duplicate requests or requests made from a non-FIT email address will be deleted.

Check your FIT email inbox and review the master’s ceremony checklist to make sure all deadlines are met.

The form to request tickets for the 2026 Master's Commencement Ceremony at Haft Theater will open: 

Monday, March 2 at noon!  

You will receive an email with a link to the form on Monday or you may access it directly on the commencement website.

You must complete this form to attend commencement and to request guest tickets for your ceremony.

And don’t forget:

• Review the master's commencement checklist to make sure all deadlines are met.
• Keep checking your FIT email for updates.

Note: This email is being sent to all current graduate students. If you plan to attend the School of Graduate Studies commencement in May, you must apply or have previously applied for graduation to continue receiving communications and reminders about the ceremony. 

Students who graduated in December 2025 or January 2026 or will graduate in May or August 2026 are welcome to participate in the ceremony in May.

The School of Graduate Studies will hold its conferral of degrees exercises for the master’s degree candidates on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 6 pm in the Morris W. and Fannie B. Haft Theater at FIT.

Students who plan to graduate are encouraged to:

• review the graduate commencement checklist to make sure all deadlines are met,
• check their FIT email inbox for updates, and
• visit the of the School of Graduate Studies commencement website, fitnyc.edu/sgscommencement, whenever necessary to find the most up-to-date information.

We are pleased to announce the date for the 2026 master’s degree commencement and hooding ceremony next spring.

The School of Graduate Studies will hold its conferral of degrees exercises for the master’s degree candidates on Monday, May 18, 2026, at 6 pm in the Morris W. and Fannie B. Haft Theater at FIT.

We will also hold a reception after the ceremony so you can take family photos, enjoy refreshments, and pick up FIT souvenirs. 

Visit our Master’s Ceremony website at fitnyc.edu/sgscommencement to find FAQs and a student checklist to guide you through the preparation process including the application for graduation deadline, information on ordering your cap and gown, scheduling your graduation portrait, and reserving your ticket(s). Reminders of important deadlines will also be emailed to you throughout the spring 2026 semester. 

We hope you have a productive rest of the fall semester, and we wish you a successful completion of your degree requirements.
