Biography

Dr. Sharon Suchma earned a PhD as a modernist in the History of Art, specifically within the area of the history of photography. She has taught in New York City public and private institutions for almost 20 years. Dr. Suchma believes in and enjoys teaching and is always excited to learn and grow with her students.

Dr. Suchama's research interests include the use of photographs in didactic publications; abstraction as a language; current connections to ancient histories; and reframing who is included in histories of art.
