Biography

Chantal Stein received her BA from Columbia University and her MA and MS from the Conservation Center, Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. She is currently an objects conservator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and has previously worked in various museums across New York City and on archaeological sites in Turkey and Egypt. She has taught objects conservation at FIT and imaging and non-invasive analysis at NYU. Her research interests include advanced imaging techniques and values-based approaches to conservation ethics. She is a member of the American Institute for Conservation.
