Kendra Porter
Biography
Kendra Porter is a TEDx speaker, an award-winning image consultant, and wardrobe stylist. Founder of HonorYourStyle, she has worked with thousands of clients, helping them to reimagine their style. Her method of styling teaches what works best for your body, personality, and lifestyle to develop your personal brand. Porter uses fashion as a tool to communicate who you are to the world. Her motto: "HonorYourStyle. HONOR YOU!"
With over a decade of experience, Porter has worked with luxury brands and retailers—from backstage at NY Fashion Week, dressing for designers from Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Hererra, to in-store at Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales. These days, you’ll find her on a microphone, producing fashion presentations for retailers, facilitating training on personal branding and style, or in a studio dressing on-air talent at NBC Sports and the Olympics.
Press highlights include Yahoo!, CNN, Essence, Marie Claire, SHAPE, and Black Enterprise to name a few. Her work has been featured locally by Westchester Magazine, 914INC., WAG, and Stamford magazines, as well as News 12.
Porter has a Master of Science degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Promotional Marketing Management, both conferred by the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (Image Consulting) and New York University (Public Relations).
