Biography

Chad Laird is an adjunct assistant professor in the History of Art department, where he specializes in modern and contemporary art, film, and museum studies. Laird also teaches art history, aesthetics, and design theory at the New York School of Interior Design. He is a co-founder of the Sunview Luncheonette, a community art space in Brooklyn where he is involved in programming.

Laird's own artistic practice involves sound and music, including sound design for experimental films and musical work with the group Jantar, most recently in projects at Roulette Intermedium and the Museum Without Building project at Les Petit Versailles.

Laird holds an MA from Stony Brook University.
