Biography

Ju Yeon (Jun) Hong is a fashion design consultant who works on projects for various international brands. In approaching the design process, Hong engages in extensive research and experimentation with complex patterns. Her work pushes the boundaries of classical minimalist design through manipulation of patterns and draping with a view to finding innovative silhouettes and new sartorial constructions.

Hong founded her own New York City-based fashion design consulting company in 2016. Prior to that she had worked on projects with Araks, Bear USA, Marc by Marc Jacobs, the Donna Karan Collection, Diane von Furstenberg, Banana Republic, Saks Fifth Avenue, J. Crew, and Ann Klein. Her personal collection, "Jun JY Hong," and other works have been featured in various publications.

Hong earned a Master of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and Society from Parsons The New School for Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Apparel Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
