Biography

Mary Zegarac Epner brings decades of expertise in all aspects of retail merchandising and analysis to FIT. Her background includes working for publicly-traded retailers and managing businesses that range in volume from startup to $1+ billion. Epner currently works in sustainable concepts, serving as the Founder and CEO of Salvage Renaissance, a New York City-based upcycled fashion startup, and as Chief Merchandising Officer for Snow Milk, a Brooklyn-based artisanal fashion brand. She started her career as a buyer for stores such as Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, and Saks Fifth Avenue, then held executive positions at Macy’s and Aeropostale, and shifted into retail analysis of public and private companies for investors. She joined FIT in 2015.
