Biography

Kathlin Argiro is a fashion designer and entrepreneur with a successful industry track record selling to top retailers. She launched her consulting business in 2014 to provide product design and manufacturing advisory services. Passionate about sharing her experience and mentoring emerging designers, Argiro is an experienced and committed educator who has taught in the United States and China. Teaching at FIT since 2010, she has led high profile projects for First Lady Michelle Obama and for the Charles James exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.

Currently, Argiro serves as a mentor for FIT’s DENYC mini-MBA program. Frequently quoted as a fashion industry expert, she was recently interviewed by NPR’s Marketplace. Argiro's collection has been featured in Vogue, WWD, the New York Times Style section, and numerous other major publications.

Argiro holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design.
