Keynote Address
Ed Rodley
Ed Rodley is a Co-Founder & Principal, at The Experience Alchemists (TEA). Ed is an
award-winning experience designer and lifelong museum lover with over thirty-five
years experience in envisioning, creating, and implementing visitor-focused projects.
Before starting TEA, Ed was Associate Director of Integrated Media at Peabody Essex
Museum (PEM) in Salem, Massachusetts and senior Exhibit Developer at the Museum of
Science in Boston. Incorporating emerging digital technologies into practice has been
a theme throughout his career.
As a thought leader in the digital transformation of the cultural sector, Ed frequently
speaks at events around the world like ICOM’s International Symposium 2024 in Dubai
and the National Digital Forum 2023 in New Zealand. His book on museum experience
design, “Designing for Playful Engagement in Museums” is available from Routledge.
Ed holds a BA in Anthropology from UMass Amherst, and a MA in Historical Archaeology
