CFMM held its largest curriculum-based research focus groups to date at the Beauty Center at FIT, as part of the Consumer Insights course for the Class of 2027. Four separate focus groups were run with newly employed beauty industry professionals and seniors in the CFM undergraduate program, in the Center’s specialized focus group facilities, to survey the opinions of entering beauty industry employees on corporate values, workplace training, career path opportunities, and employee benefits. The resulting insights informed a Quantitative Survey in October 2025, an annual survey of entering beauty sector employees on these issues for presentation to the industry.

The halls of the Beauty Center buzzed with innovation as students from the CFMM's Advanced Topics in Marketing course conducted Consumer Focus Groups. These sessions were a crucial component of their final marketing project, tasking students with tackling real-life challenges for four iconic brands, Bobbi Brown (Estée Lauder), ByRedo (Puig), Chantecaille (Beiersdorf), skinbetter science (L'Oréal), currently navigating significant moments in their trajectories. The selection of these brands was deliberate, designed to immerse students in the complexities of the real business world and strengthen the school's ties with leading corporations through the integration of "brand mentors." This dynamic approach, combined with invaluable resources like the focus groups held at the state-of-the-art Beauty Center, played a key role in shaping the students' thoughtful and informed recommendations.
