Technical Design Students Win at Gerber Ideation Conference

Winner Alan Ramo, a recent Technical Design graduate, won for his laser cut coat with attachable dress. The coat is made of biodegradable pineapple leather-like fabric. Ramo used technology and sustainable fabrics to win the competition.

Three other Technical Design students were finalists: John Bell, Nicole Pearson, and Taylor Byron. 

ideation is Gerber's software conference, offering opportunities for fashion and retail professionals to learn how to effectively use Gerber CAD and PLM software. The convention took place at the New York Marriott Marquee.
