Loan/Renewal Periods

Loans and Renewals Information

Use My Library Account to review all material you currently have checked out. If you have issues logging in, please contact Tech Help for assistance, as the Library does not assign/troubleshoot password issues.

  • Renewals can be done online via MyAccount or at the Library Services Desk. Undergraduates receive two renewals. Three renewals are granted for graduate students. One renewal is allowed for audiovisuals (DVDs, CDS, etc.). No telephone/email renewals.
  • General Collection refers to circulating books from the stacks located on the 5th floor. Non-circulating books (labeled with Library Use only) are also found on this floor.
  • Interlibrary Loans, reserve DVDs,  and equipment  (portable chargers, Makerminds equipment, etc.) are located at the Library Services Desk on the 5th floor.
  • If a circulating item is checked out and you wish to place a hold on it, log in to your account in OneSearch, the Library's Online Catalog, find the item, and click on Place Hold Request. You'll be prompted to confirm, and you'll receive an email when the item is ready for pickup.
  • Refer to our Overdue Fines page for information regarding fines and account holds
  • Students may borrow materials only for the semester in which they are registered. For example, if a student is registered for the Fall semester, their loan privileges will end at the conclusion of that semester—unless they register for Winter and/or Spring classes, which would extend their borrowing privileges into the following term. If a student is registered for the Spring semester but does not register for Summer or Fall, they may not borrow materials during the Summer.
