Ben Meyer

Biography

Ben Meyer is an award-winning filmmaker, and a 25 year industry veteran. His debut feature, "Fools," which he wrote, directed and edited, won the Audience Award for Best Competition Feature at Dances With Films; a Jury Commendation at the Durango Independent Film Festival; Best Alternative Feature at the Garden State Film Festival; and Best Director at the Tulsa American Film Festival. It is currently available on Amazon Prime and iTunes.

Meyer's short film "What Are You Having?" won the Grand Prix du Court-Metrage at the Deauville Film Festival (Roman Polanski, jury chair), a CINE Golden Eagle, Best Short Film at the Abuja International Film Festival in Nigeria, and has been screened at festivals around the world. It was licensed for broadcast by the Independent Film Channel and HBO Latin America. His short films "Georgie Porgie," "Sold," and "Bothered" won awards and screened at festivals around North American and Europe.

As an editor, Meyer has worked with such documentarians as Michele Ohayon, Ondi Timoner, Eddie Schmidt, and Peter Stuart. He edited the feature film "Normal Adolescent Behavior," starring Amber Tamblyn, for New Line Cinema. His television editing credits include narrative and unscripted programs for Bravo, A&E, National Geographic, Discovery, and the History Channel, as well as Netflix and Crackle. He wrote the pilot "Splitsville" for CBS in 2020 and is currently developing series pitches for networks and streamers.
