Faculty Regalia Pickup Begins Today!

Commencement is almost here! Orders will be available for pickup at the FIT Campus Store on the following dates and times. Note: The store will have extended hours this week.

Monday–Friday, May 13–17, 9 am–8 pm
Monday, May 20, 9 am–5 pm

The entrance to the store is located on the Breezeway between the Dubinsky Student Center and the Business and Liberal Arts Center.

If you haven't already confirmed your attendance at commencement—either as a member of the platform party or the audience—please use the RSVP button above to fill out the form. Note: All members of the platform party must wear regalia, and the deadline to order regalia has passed. The deadline for RSVPs is May 3.

If you plan to be part of the platform party at any of the 2024 Commencement ceremonies, you must wear regalia.

The deadline for regalia orders is April 5. 

Regalia may be rented at the FIT Campus Store by contacting store manager Nate Crawford, or you may purchase yours directly from Herff Jones. Orders may be picked up at the FIT Campus Store the week of May 13–17.

Dear Faculty and Administrators,

Please join us in celebrating the achievements of our graduates at FIT's 79th commencement exercises, which are scheduled to take place on May 22 and 23, 2024, at the Rumsey Playfield in Central Park. Your presence and support will make a significant difference. Thank you in advance for your participation and continued support of our graduates and FIT. We are excited to celebrate this momentous occasion with you. 

There will be six ceremonies grouped by school and program majors, which means that the graduates will attend the ceremony that corresponds with their program. You are invited to attend one or more of the events as a member of the platform party.

If you plan to attend any of the undergraduate ceremonies as a member of the platform party, you are required to wear regalia and reserve a seat on stage. 

Regalia may be rented at the FIT campus store or purchased directly from Herff Jones. Orders may be picked up at the FIT campus store the week of May 13–17.

To reserve a seat for any ceremony, please RSVP by Friday, May 3, using the button below.

You will be able to select whether you plan to attend as a member of the platform party or the audience. Each ceremony will have a reserved section for FIT faculty as well as facilities for those staying to attend multiple ceremonies. Each event will run approximately 90 minutes in length and will be held outdoors in the park, rain or shine.

Your name will be added to the backstage entrance list. Venue personnel, not FIT staff, are responsible for check-in, which is why it is important that you RSVP.

You are also encouraged to greet your students and their guests as they enjoy refreshments, take family portraits, and pick up gifts and festive items prior to or immediately following each ceremony at the celebration area tents. 

If you plan to attend one or more of the undergraduate ceremonies as a member of the platform party, you are required to wear regalia and reserve your seat on stage. Over the next few months, expect commencement updates with information on the rental and purchase of regalia as well as the deadline on how to reserve your place and more.
