FIT is a public institution of higher education, a community college that is part of the State University of New York (SUNY). As a result, FIT disburses financial aid in the form of small grants, federal college work study, and other federal and state monies for eligible students through the Office of Financial Aid.
There are no specific FIT grants for students with disabilities.
Each state has a vocational rehabilitation agency. For New York State residents with visual impairments, ACCESS-VR and C.B.V.H. are possible sources of funding, depending on vocational goals.
