Advertising & Digital Design BFA

Fall Semester

Deadline: February 1

A digital revolution has changed the advertising and design industry in the last five years more than the previous fifty. Successful advertising and digital design today requires a new creative team of art director, writer and digital designer working together to reach an audience that is getting the majority of their entertainment and information from the internet. This new interdisciplinary partnership has unleashed exciting new creative possibilities.

The students in the Advertising & Digital Design BFA Program learn how to create work that sparks conversations, storytelling, and engagement that shapes culture, rather than reflect it.

Our industry-inspired curriculum includes concept development, strategy planning, art direction, design, copywriting, internship, and a strong liberal arts education. The flexible nature of the curriculum also enables students to specialize in copywriting, social media, or brand identity with elective credits.  FIT is a pioneer integrating advertising and digital design. We are the first BFA Program in the world to create specialized digital design courses such as kinetic typography, user experience design, typography  for digital content design, and digital product design.

You'll graduate from FIT’s Advertising and Digital Design BFA program with strong conceptual, visual, and verbal skills, as well as the new digital skills that are in high demand today. You will be prepared to work at the best advertising agencies and digital design studios as an art director, writer, digital product designer, user experience (UX) designer, user interface (UI) designer, interaction designer, motion designer, digital content designer, app designer, brand designer, information architect, web designer, social media specialist, video editor or strategy planner.

Please submit responses to the questions below (maximum 100 words each) and a portfolio of original artwork.
