Each year we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating students during Grad Week.

 Saturday, May 6 

  • Residence Hall Association (RHA) Block Party: Candy Land Extravaganza

 Monday, May 8 

  • Class of 2017 Professional Cap and Gown Portraits
    10 am - 2 pm and 3 - 7 pm, 7th floor, David Dubinsky Student Center
  • Cap, Gown, and Commencement Ticket Distribution
    Noon - 4 pm, Barnes & Noble at FIT (for students who pre-purchased regalia)
  • Future of Fashion Show Viewing 
    6 - 8 pm, 8th floor, David Dubinsky Student Center
    Network with FIT alumni and celebrate the accomplishments of your fellow students. Graduating students who contribute $20.17 or more to the senior class gift are invited to attend. Donate and register at alumni.fitnyc.edu/gradgiving

  • Commencement Kickoff

    Activities include cap decorating, Maui Wowi, live DJ, greeting cards, food, and more.

  • Campus to Career Workshop
    5 - 7 pm, C205, Feldman Center
    This interactive presentation is designed to prepare students for post-college careers. Hear from hiring professionals with experience at HBO, Viacom, NBCUniversal, About.com, Vice Media, Pulse Films and New Corporation. They will share valuable insight on best practices and resources for interviewing, resume development, industry standards, and more. Representatives from FIT's Career and Internship Services will be on hand to talk about lifelong benefits they offer to students and alums. 
  • FIT SGA Presents: Breakfast for Dinner featuring Dancakes
    8 pm - open for grads (with proof of participation in commencement)
    9 pm - general admission

    Current students and alumni will participate as vendors, offering discounts on select items in honor of the Class of 2017. Bai Beverages will provide free refreshments and gather up your friends for pics in our photo booth!
  • Grad Brunch

  • Cap Decorating

Senior Class Gift

Each year the senior class is challenged, in the form of a senior gift, to leave behind its legacy.Funds donated by the Class of 2017 will contribute to a scholarship awarded to a member of the Class of 2018.
