Annual Benefits Open Enrollment 2018 for Part-Time Employees
Monday, November 5, 2018 through Friday, November 16, 2018 - Open Enrollment has ended.
FIT’s Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Period is the once-a-year opportunity to review your benefit elections through FIT and:
- Health Care Plan: Enroll, waive, or make a change to the dependents who are enrolled in the Plan offered by FIT.
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plan: If you have a CCE, enroll in an account for Calendar Year 2019. You must make a new election to participate in the FSA Plan each year. Your 2018 election will NOT carry forward into 2019.
The deadline for electing a calendar year 2019 Flexible Spending Account and/or electing or making a change to your health care plan coverage is Friday, November 16, 2018. Please refer to the “What You Need To Do” information within each section for instructions on how to enroll and/or make a change.
Elections and changes made during the Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Period will become effective January 1, 2019. If you do not elect or make changes during this period, your next opportunity to do so will be during next year’s Annual Benefits Open Enrollment Period unless you experience a qualified life event during the year. Examples of qualified life events are: marriage, birth/adoption of a child, divorce, a change in employment status, or loss of other health care coverage. You have 31 days from the event date to notify a Benefits Representative in order to make changes to your coverage.
