ADVISEMENT
You are encouraged to speak with an advisor in the Academic Advisement Center, to receive information and guidance regarding your academic curriculum. Click here to make an appointment with an academic advisor. You may also send an email to advisementcenter@fitnyc.edu, or call 212 217.3080, or go to Feldman Center, room C402.

FINANCIAL AID
The FAFSA application process has been made easier. Go to FAFSA.gov to apply.  Contact Financial Aid in Room A212a for more information on federal and state guidelines.  For TAP information visit the Registrar's Office in Room c158 .

SEARCH FOR CLASSES
Go to Class Search for the most up-to-date offerings and important course information.  Clicking on a course title in Class Search will pop up useful information like schedules, restrictions, prerequisites, co-requisites, and attributes.

SPECIAL PERMISSIONS
If you need special permission for a class, and it is approved, the department will either give you enter an online override in MyFIT or sign the Special Approval form. The paper form must be submitted in person to Feldman Center, room C158.

If you require a registration accommodation, contact the Office of Disability Services (FIT-ABLE).  You may send an email to fitable@fitnyc.edu or go to Dubinsky Ctr, Room a570.

step 3AFTER YOU REGISTER

Check your degree audit (DARS) again to confirm you are registered for required courses.

Check payment information and refund policy
As soon as you register for courses, you are liable for the tuition unless you drop courses before the first day of the semester. Refunds are only issued if you drop/withdraw before the refund dates. Refunds are calculated by the date the withdrawal request is received by Registrar's Office.

GO TO STEP 4 ONLY AFTER REGISTERING FOR YOUR LAST REQUIREMENT(S) OF AN AAS OR BACHELOR PROGRAM.

step 4 APPLY FOR GRADUATION 

The semester before you plan to graduate and/or plan to start a bachelor's degree at FIT, you need to apply for graduation. First, register for your last class or requirement, then submit the graduation application in MyFIT. Once you submit your AAS graduation application, you will have access to the Bachelor's Admission application.
