The basic skills of speaking, reading, and writing in Italian are established and Italian culture is introduced. Building on Italian III, students refine their communication skills in Italian. More advanced supplementary reading materials (including poetry, short stories, and magazine and newspaper articles), films, and videos further the students' knowledge of Italian culture.
