Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing BS

In one of the only Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing programs in the country, you’ll cultivate a unique skill set covering business, science, technology, and marketing. Courses, which include Beauty Marketing in the Digital Age, Chemistry, and Cosmetic Product Knowledge, show how a beauty product is created, packaged, and brought to market. A required internship allows you to flex your creative muscles and learn on the job at a top company.

You are eligible to apply if you have an AAS from FIT, but you may need to take several prerequisites. Learn more about eligibility for this program.

Outside the Classroom

Students have interned at Glossier, Tarte, Nars, Estée Lauder, L’Oréal, Shiseido, Coty, Revlon, Firmenich, Symrise, and Mana. Graduates have worked at Estée Lauder, Parfums Givenchy, Barneys, L'Oréal, Lancôme, and Unilever. Their roles include product development, marketing, global brand management, sales, retail management, fragrance evaluation, social media, and editorial positions.

Virginia Bonifiglio

Virginia Bonofiglio

Assistant professor and associate chair of the Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing Department, Bonofiglio has over 40 years of experience in the fragrance and cosmetic industry. She holds a BA from Hunter College, City University of New York. In 2017, Bonofiglio was selected to be a judge at the Beauty ID Awards.

Delphine Horvath

Delphine Horvath

Horvath is an assistant professor in the department. She holds an MA in business and marketing in luxury and art from l’Université Paris-Est, Marne-la-Vallée, and an MA in structural biochemistry from l’Université d'Orléans. New product development is but one example of Horvath’s diverse areas of expertise.
