In just a few short weeks your student will be joining the FIT community and starting
a new journey with us. We have been busy preparing for your student’s arrival and
want to take this opportunity to invite you to attend the Families In Transition (Family Welcome Session) scheduled during Orientation Week.
The Families In Transition session is a great opportunity for family and friends to get a feel for Student Life at FIT and to meet other parents and families making the same transition. The session will include an introduction to FIT student services by the Dean of Students, Dr. Shadia Sachedina, a feature presentation by the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success, Dr. Kelly Brennan, an FAQ session with current FIT students, and a reception/meet-and-greet session with Student Success educators from various FIT departments.
We invite you to take this opportunity to feel welcomed and secure in the knowledge that your student is in good hands. We believe that this will give you a unique perspective on how to support your student as they transition to FIT.
