Shadowing Success Stories

Students Look to Alumni as Role Models

A Day with Alberta Testanero, Class of '92, Associate Creative Director at Coach
"My Shadow Day was a great learning experience and so fun! My alum was very friendly. I saw and learned about the various departments in the business. She invited me to go back to see how the handbags are made in the factory. She also helped me with my marketing project, and I ended up getting the best grade in my class!"

A Day with Shannon Breslin, Fashion Merchandising Management '00, Merchandiser at Ann Taylor
"Shannon Breslin, my host, was warm and introduced me to everyone on her team. I was able to sit in on a 3-hour planning session for Spring 2012 and learned so much from the exchange of ideas and teamwork. Great experience overall."

A Day with Monica Brandwein, Fashion Merchandising Management '08, Museum Educator at Museum of Jewish Heritage
"I learned a lot about what it is like to work at a museum and how many people are working behind the scenes. It was amazing to see how much work goes into putting together an exhibition and tours. Monica Brandwein also graduated from a major that I was very interested in pursuing, Visual Art Management. I hope to do this again next year!"

A Day with Sarah Hall, Advertising and Communications '94, Founder of Sarah Hall PR
"I was able to gain insight to a particular sector of the PR industry, which helped me in deciding if it's the right match for me in my future career. I look forward to making another connection next year through this program!"
