Credited Internships

Student intern in officeCredited internships are carefully assigned, structured, and monitored to provide the most appropriate and valuable experience for each student. In many majors, internships are an integral part of your course of study and the academic credit earned is required for graduation. In other situations, you may take an internship on a supplemental-credit basis.

FIT's internship program consists of two parts:

  • On-site professional work experience is supervised by an organization executive. This develops your competitive edge and networking skills, while allowing you to apply classroom skills to the workplace.
  • Classroom instruction with two goals: to empower you to make your work site experiences as productive as possible and to teach you how to successfully market yourself throughout your career. (See: Internship Studies)
